(H): Inside, the scroll of Torah stands
(C): It stands there, with all its richness and wisdom
(H): As we listen, voices speak--voices of our ancestors
(C): Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Joseph and Moses
(H): O G-d, they bring us your instructions for us
(C): Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel and Leah, and Miriam
(H): O G-d, they move us to respond to your promises to us
(C): We are grateful for your words, the words of Torah
(H): "Hear, O Israel!" the L-rd says
(C): We will hear your words--that we may learn them, love them, live them
(H): "What does the L-rd require of you? To fear him, love him, serve him, and walk in all his ways."
(C): All the L-rd has said, we will do.
